Our long tradition of helping beautify our highways while getting some atheist recognition (in the form of a road sign informing motorists that this stretch of highway is maintained by Minnesota Atheists) continues. St. Cloud's Friends Free of Theism will be pitching in, too, so come out and meet our godless neighbors to the north.

On Sunday, September 26, Minnesota Atheists will be performing its Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup. The Cleanup is scheduled from 1:00-3:30 p.m. on Highway 10 in Rice, MN, but if the turnout is anything like the last few, it won't take that long. In any case, we'll meet at noon at The Old Creamery Cafe, 405 Main St., Rice, MN 56367 (west of the stoplight on Hwy. 10). This restaurant has a great all-you-can-eat brunch buffet, so bring a healthy appetite.

Arrive at noon for lunch beforehand and/or stay for dinner afterwards. Gloves and sturdy footwear are recommended. The latest in highway safety vest fashion will be supplied.

Transportation is available from the Twin Cities. Please let us know in your RSVP if you need a ride, and tell us where you're coming from. Contact Deb Doucette [masked] or Steve Petersen (Shoreview) [masked] or [masked] for more details. Also, call Steve if it looks like it will rain to see if the event has been postponed, although we'll still meet for lunch rain or shine.

Hope to see you there!
