Camp Quest of Minnesota is seeking 22 energetic, committed adults to lead its camping session as volunteer counselors. Being a volunteer counselor is a demanding, yet very rewarding, way to serve the youth in our freethought community. Counselors build strong connections with the campers and with each other over the course of the week-long camping program.
Camp Quest of Minnesota has been bringing its program of critical thinking and Humanism to non-theistic campers in Minnesota since 2004. As in the past, the 2011 camping session will be held at the Voyageur Environmental Center in Minnetrista. Counselors will be at camp from July 23-30.
The first day is spent in orientation and training. The campers arrive the following day. All meals and lodging are provided to counselors free of charge. Counselors must complete an application and will be screened by an interview and background check. Former Camp Quest campers aged 16 -17 may apply to be Counselors In Training.
Details and application forms for Counselors and Counselors In Training may be found at http://minnesota.camp-quest.org/page4/page4.html Come join us. Make a difference in the life of a child.
